Following up on a series of successful collaborations with the British Graduates Society (BGS), we invite you to a very topical discussion we're organising on the theme of university-business collaboration.

The event aims to explore the connection and relationship between academia and the labour market, highlighting various aspects of Greek practice deriving from a Europe-wide research project conducted by BGS's team of academics and entrepreneurs.

As part of the discussion, a panel of academics – as well as representatives from the Greek business world – will present their own experiences and discuss issues relating to the research findings. Our guest speakers include:

  • Yannis Caloghirou, Professor of the Economics of Technology and Industrial Strategy, and Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
  • Athanasios Lavidas, Executive Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Lavipharm
  • Spyros Lioukas, Professor, Department of Management Science & Technology, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB)
  • Pantelis Tzortzakis, Chief Executive Quest Holdings SA.

The discussion will be facilitated by Joseph Hassid, Professor of Industrial Economics, Department of Economics, University of Piraeus.

The event will also include a screening of a pre-recorded interview with Professor Sir Tim Wilson, who will present significant findings from The Wilson Review – A Review of Business-University Collaboration conducted in the UK.
