As part of our Respecting Diversity programme organised in collaboration with the International Olympic Truce Centre (IOTC), and with the support of the Association of Greek Olympic Games Champions, we invite you to take part in our Respecting Diversity: Say no to bullying teacher training workshop in Thessaloniki. The workshop is being held in collaboration with The Association of State School Teachers of Northern Greece (E.K.A.D.E.V.E.) as part of the Thessaloniki 2014 European Youth Capital programme.
With his usual humorous, resourceful and lively approach, Cliff Parry, Academic Manager of our Athens Teaching Centre – together with Dora Pallis, Deputy Director of the Olympic Truce Centre and a team of Greek Olympic Games champions – will present the children’s book and workshop on the theme of bullying we devised as part of our Respecting Diversity educational programme. He will also discuss conflict resolution and a variety of approaches that can be used to address different forms of bullying.
The workshop is designed for teachers and people who work with 10 to 15-year-old children and is a demonstration of the workshop we currently deliver to students between the 5th grade of primary school and the 3rd grade of secondary schools throughout Greece in collaboration with the IOTC. The aim of the workshop is to offer useful tools to teachers interested in providing support and guidance to their students and to those who are already involved in programmes designed to combat bullying in schools.
The workshop will be held in English.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
