The future of UK higher education in Greece after Brexit: challenges, opportunities and prospects

In partnership with Universities UK International and with the support of the British Embassy and transnational education (TNE) providers in Greece, we are delighted to announce the organisation of this Higher Education Forum aiming to examine the potential implications of Brexit on existing and future TNE opportunities in Greece.

The event will bring together local and UK TNE providers, senior representatives from UK institutions, education policy makers from Greece and the UK, and international higher education experts to share knowledge and exchange views and recommendations. The forum aims to reinforce the long-standing educational connections that exist between the two countries, and further strengthen and facilitate institutional collaborations between Greek and UK institutions.

The forum will cover the following:

  • the global and European dimensions of TNE
  • presentation of new British Council research on higher education institutional collaborations between Greece and the UK in the field of TNE, and a discussion on findings and insights into the future landscape post-Brexit
  • recognition of TNE degrees: discussion on Greek and European recognition frameworks and recommended actions
  • TNE quality assurance: delivery models and enhancement practices.

The event is aimed at policy makers and education leaders in higher education in Greece and the UK.

Attendance by invitation only.

The full programme will be announced shortly.
