The renowned Kalamata International Dance Festival returns this summer, welcoming us once again to a wonderful celebration of dance and music. Over twelve days, from 15 to 26 July 2016, the festival will present a rich programme of dance performances along with a series of educational activities and parallel events aimed at both professional and amateur dancers, as well as dance lovers of all ages.
As part of this year's festival, Candoco Dance Company, the celebrated contemporary dance company from the UK, will present – for the first time in Greece – two of their most recent dance pieces, Beheld and Notturnino, by distinguished choreographers Alexander Whitley and Thomas Hauert.
In addition to the performances, the company will also run a two-hour practical workshop, based on their current work: Beheld by Alexander Whitely and Notturnino by Thomas Hauert. The workshop is open to disabled and non-disabled individuals aged 18+. No dance experience is required, just an interest and desire to move!
