We welcome visitors with disabilities and those bringing pushchairs. If you need help with access or have any questions, please let us know.

Getting here

Our Athens office and Kolonaki Teaching Centre are centrally located at 17 Kolonaki Square in a six-storey building dating back to the 1960s.

 Drop off

Due to metro line works the nearest taxi/car/motorbike drop-off point is Neofytou Vamva Street that can also be used by visitors with disabilities. This drop-off point is 45m from the main entrance.

You can order an accessible taxi from Taxi AMEA or Special Taxi.

Parking

Our Athens office/Kolonaki Teaching Centre does not have a car park.

  • There are pay-and-display parking spaces on Neofytou Vamva Street, 45m away.
  • The nearest car park is at 14 Kolonaki Square, 35m from the main entrance. It has accessible parking spaces.
  • There are also accessible parking spaces in Polis Park, 650m away at 4 Rizari Street.

Main entrance and reception

Step-free access to the building is provided via the main entrance on the ground floor. The main door is accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users.

  • The width of the main entrance door is 200cm.
  • There is a set of five steps leading up from the entrance to the reception area.
  • Wheelchair and pushchair access to the reception area is via a ramp with handrails on each side.
  • If you use a wheelchair, we will speak with you about a suitable emergency evacuation plan.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.

Building overview

The building has six floors and a basement, which are all accessible to visitors using wheelchairs.

Lift and stairs

You can reach all floors by lift or stairs.

  • The lift is a passenger lift.
  • The lift door width is 87cm and the buttons are within 110cm of the floor.
  • The lift has tactile buttons.
  • The lift doesn’t have Braille buttons.
  • The lift doesn’t have an audible announcer.
  • The stairs have a handrail on each side.

Please contact us before your visit if you think the lift will be unsuitable for you so that we can make alternative arrangements.

Kolonaki Teaching Centre Classrooms

The Kolonaki Teaching Centre is located on the ground floor, 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors.

  • All classrooms are accessible to students using wheelchairs.
  • They can be reached by lift or stairs.
  • They are equipped with computers with screen magnifiers and screen reader software.

Meeting rooms

There are meeting rooms on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th floors.

  • All meeting rooms are accessible to visitors using wheelchairs.
  • They can be reached by lift or stairs.

Accessible toilet

There is an accessible toilet on the 5th floor. It is suitable for people using wheelchairs.

  • The width of the toilet door is 86cm.
  • There is a sliding door.
